#1 Danny Woodhead, New England Patriots
Last week against the San Francisco 49ers, the Patriots turned to Danny Woodhead to get the job done offensively with New England’s running backs coming down with a case of fumblitis. Woodhead finished the game with 84 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
This week the Patriots will face-off against the Jacksonville Jaguars with the team possibly looking to get Woodhead more involved yet again.
#2 DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are in a must-win situation heading into the final two games of the season with all aspects of their offense needing to be firing on all cylinders. The running game will be crucial to the team’s success on Sunday going up against perhaps the worst overall defense in the NFL in the New Orleans Saints.
Dallas will have to keep up with the high-powered offense led by Drew Brees with a good mix of run and pass. Murray might be in for a big day against the Saints.
#3 Alfred Morris, Washington Redskins
Morris came through last week with a monster game for the Redskins rushing for 87 yards and two touchdowns. With the Redskins needing to stay toe-to-toe with the New York Giants and Cowboys in the NFC East, expect Morris to have similar numbers in Week 16 if Robert Griffin III isn’t 100 percent upon his return against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sleeper of the Week: Curtis Brinkley, San Diego Chargers
