Fantasy Football Start ‘Em: Week 13 Quarterbacks

1:58 pm

#1 Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

Many people doubted Manning’s ability to bounce back from multiple neck surgeries, a fresh start with the Denver Broncos to become the perennial Pro Bowler of old, but he did exactly that and has exceeded expectations for the Broncos thus far.

In Week 13, Manning will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even though the Bucs have the best run defense in the NFL, Tampa Bay has been awful at containing opposing quarterbacks giving up more than 315 passing yards on per game.

Manning will likely have a huge day on Sunday.

#2 Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

As a legitimate NFL MVP candidate heading into Week 13, Ryan is having a career year and will likely surpass the 3,500 yards passing mark against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night at the Georgia Dome.

The Bucs may be the worst team in the league in terms of pass defense, but not far behind is the Saints. New Orleans is currently ranked 30th in the NFL giving up almost 300 passing yards per game (298.3).

Ryan and company may have fallen to the Saints back in Week 10, but that won’t likely happen in Week 13 with the up-and-coming quarterback poised to put up some big numbers at home.

#3 Tom Brady, New England Patriots

The Patriots are without a doubt the best offense in the NFL coming into Week 13. Tom Brady has this team firing on all cylinders once again with New England averaging an unbelievable 47.5 points per contest over the last four games.

Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski might be out for quite awhile with a broken arm, but that didn’t prevent the Patriots from 49 points on the division rival New York Jets last.

New England will face off against another division rival on the road in Week 13 taking on the Miami Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium, but it will likely be more of the same from Brady.

Other Notable QBs for Week 13: Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) vs. Minnesota Vikings, Robert Griffin III (Washington Redskins) vs. New York Giants, Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) vs. Atlanta Falcons, Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) vs. Kansas City Chiefs
